  1. Move aside all books except for Linux Fundamentals;
  2. Move aside all minibooks except for First Steps on the Command Line;
  3. Change the title of the minibook to Get Started on Linux by End of Tonight: Without Breaking Your Box – A Userbie Guide;
  4. Change the title of the series to Userbie;
  5. Create a chapter on installing Linux using Vagrant;
  6. Reword the explanation of the cat command;
  7. Modify the examples to refrain from using the cat command before its usage is explained to the reader;
  8. Modify the exercises to refrain from using wget, so that readers can use a distribution that doesn’t include the program;
  9. Modify the solutions to refrain from using a semicolon – ‘;‘ before its usage is explained to the reader;
  10. Copy the description of the echo command from the chapter on shell arguments;
  11. Remove the section on mandb, because it’s a system administration command;
  12. Remove the exercise that relies on understanding the meaning of an asterisk – ‘*‘, given that it’s not yet explained by that point;
  13. Remove the chapter on the file system tree, with the intention of putting it into another minibook;
  14. Remove the section on the rename command, with the intention of putting it into another minibook;
  15. Modify the titles to use a consistent convention for capitalisation and special characters;
  16. Replace selected external links with userbie.com;
  17. Add the missing Addendum to the Free Documentation License;
  18. Modify the abstract and add a preface;
  19. Implement the [feedback] link;
  20. Modify the license notice to strictly use version 1.3 of the Free Documentation License only, with Aleksander Korzynski as the proxy for deciding if a later version can be used;
  21. Modify the license notice to make the Preface an Invariant section;
  22. Display the license notice prominently in the abstract, the LICENSE file and the appendix containing the full text of the license;
  23. Use the command git describe –tags to generate the version string of the book;
  24. Modify the build scripts to save the publisher name in the book metadata;
  25. Create a site-specific CSS file to be replaced by a site owner;
  26. Change the command used to generate a PDF file from build to pdf;
  27. Use xsltproc instead of xmlto as the command to invoke the XSLT processor;
  28. Improve error handling in the make script;
  29. Modify the make script to generate unique IDs for book parts and chapters;
  30. Various bug fixes and finishing touches;
